A day in the Life:
As a Sr Procurement Analyst, you will work to facilitate and maintain relationships between the organization and vendors/partners, negotiating contracts, creating standards for the vendors, and finding the best available vendors. Managing relationships with internal customers, major suppliers, vendors and subcontractors ensuring price competitiveness and high levels of service are maintained.
Essential Functions
- Track fieldwork suppliers and provides the data needed to identify supplier risks ensuring the necessary steps to mitigate them are followed or choose an alternative vendor. Understanding of how to align service delivery needs with business goals.
- Collaborates on the development of Fieldwork Outsourcing framework (the set of processes, policies, and procedures a company uses to select, assess, onboard, and manage vendors).
- Responsible to manage the vendors sampling activity on projects, so that we maintain an optimal usage of supply channels from a cost/ efficiency and capacity perspectives as well as meeting our clients’ requirements in terms of quality and turnaround time.
- Responsible of selecting and monitoring outside research vendors, collect cost estimates, negotiate pricing, and effectively maintain vendor relationships.
- Liaising with project managers, field agencies and fieldwork coordinators globally.
- Collaborate with Feasibility team on determining outsourcing capabilities and provide outsourcing fieldwork analysis on a project basis
- Assess and mitigate risk on fieldwork in collaboration with Customer Experience and Panel experience teams
- Manage and monitor outsourced fieldwork, assessing project field work requirements on a daily basis and following up on vendor deliveries accordingly.
- Look for efficiencies/better working practices in all areas of the role. Works in automation of all vendor fieldwork related systems and processes: launch, pass back link generation, follow up and completion process, etc.
- Provides KPI reports on fieldwork vendors activities, expenses, quality etc.
- Takes over survey issues reported by vendors and liaises with Production team to provides solutions so that vendors operations are not interrupted
- Develops procedures and works with Sr. Compliance manager creating documentation to support vendor operations activities
- It is responsible for vendors to provide high data quality, working in collaboration with Quality department and Vendors to ensure high levels of quality.
- Provide field service recommendations concerning best course of action to meet study timing parameters
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5+ years).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Math and decision-making skills are important for selecting vendors that best fit the company's needs.
- Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures.
- Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports. Ability to develop a collaborative work environment.
- Fieldwork management and sample outsourcing experience
- Strong understanding of process improvement fundamentals
- Solid investigative and analytical skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Thorough understanding of sampling and statistical principles
- Working knowledge of market research, regulatory guidelines and directives
- Understanding of purchasing principles
- Ability to function as an effective and respected partner to internal clients
- Proven ability to be analytical and handle data effectively
- Possess the maturity to handle sensitive information and make sound recommendations
- Strong creative and critical thinking skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
